Experience
I have been tutoring privately and in small groups for 25 years, with many success stories of students who have won competitions and performed well in a variety of concert situations. I am a Certified Teacher with a teaching license in New Mexico and have high qualified certification in both music and language arts. Currently, I am teaching high school level English/Language Arts. For 9 years I have taught at the university level in music, business math, education, keyboarding and computer classes. In addition, I have 12 years of teaching in public and parochial schools from grades K-12. I enjoy the challenge of helping students learn and finding ways to break down the information to bite size, understandable segments. I realize the importance of repetition in learning to comprehend and retain information. I am patient with students and can adapt to their level and speed, whether fast or slower. I can help students problem solve in a variety of situations.
