Master of Science in Educational Diagnostics- I completed my Maters in educational diagnostics by interning with a local school district where I tested students for may qualify for special education. These included students who were qualifying for developmental disabilities as well as gifted and talented abilities. Master of Science Special Education- I have taught special education for 5 years for students grades kindergarten through 4th grade. I have taught reading, math and written language and have been utilizing Tier III interventions to support students' needs and progress toward grade level standards. Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education- I currently possess a Level 2 teaching license indicating I am qualifies to teach elementary education Kindergarten through 6th grade in the state of New Mexico. While I have not taught regular education, I have tutored students in the general education setting and have taught summer school to students in the general education setting. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy seeing student's make progress in academics. Elementary Education, Special Education student/PRIVATE 2014-2015 Tutored student in Reading, Math and Writing. Student received services on an IEP and required intensive interventions to make progress toward grade level standards. Elementary Education, Regular Education students 2013-2014 Tutored students in grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade in Reading. Co-taught with another teacher to provide tutoring services for 20+ students four days per week. Preparing student for grade level assessments. Secondary Education, Regular Education student, Math/PRIVATE 2011 Privately tutored student in high school math curriculum, specifically algebraic concepts. Student began tutoring sessions below grade level. Ended sessions at or above grade level.
