I'm originally from Columbia, and I speak Spanish natively. I studied dentistry in Bogota, Colombia, and I have a masters degree in public health. I spent 25 years in dentistry. I also volunteered as a missionary to help my community. Since moving to the United States, I've been teaching Spanish. I spent 13 years helping students learn the language and culture of Spanish-speaking communities. It takes a lot of different teaching modalities, activities, visual tools, and others to keep students engaged and learning effectively. In my free time, I like to read and hike.
